                Chip - Keys, Vocals

Born on August 21, 1961, I made my way from Wilmington N.C to Florida and have lived here ever since. Jacksonville is home and I always feel a need to be by water. I miss it when I'm away. A proud father of two outstanding and handsome young lads; one living in Orlando with a great job working for Steve (we miss you), the other serving his country with the best Army the world has ever seen! Keep your powder dry! Hooo-ahh!

I was playing piano from the age of five. I couldn’t help but watch and listen to my uncle Clarence, blind from birth, playing the boogie woogie style on piano, country on guitar and blues on the harmonica. I was amazed. He was inspiring and he made me dream. So I practiced and practiced until I had my first piano lessons at the age of 13. As of now, I play by ear. I regret not continuing my lessons (@Noah: Never stop, never give up!).

Cool Deluxe was my very first band from the mid 80's thru 91. Then Razen Cain, and Common Ground. All I have are great memories of those times. I'm older and wiser now. In me, the music will never die! Lets make more!
