Charles - Keys, Keys and more Keys
Charles is a musician that any band would love to have in their project. With an attitude, work ethic, and personality of gold; Charles makes any situation a wonderful one to be involved with. He was born and raised in Puerto Rico with two pianos in the household. Naturally with a father who was a pianist, the inevitable happened.... his dad taught him a song and since then Charles was hooked. He started playing by ear, and while he tried to learn music as an adolescent by taking lessons, it was too late. He started playing in a band and enjoying it so his music study time went slack. The events in his life around 1979 transformed Charles and his musical tastes. He started listening to rock music from bands like: ELO, Toto, Kansas, Journey, Alan Parsons Project, and Pink Floyd etc. As you can imagine, he started to learn and play music much more complicated that requires a higher level of skill to perform than what he was used to. Soon, he stopped listening to music all-together for about a year, and dedicated his time to refine and finish the development of his own personal style. Charles also created his first batch of original music during this time as well. He was in several bands while in Puerto Rico and Virginia. Now living in Jacksonville, he feels blessed and proud to be part of the band....Doc MOJO. On a personal note, Charles feels they are the best musicians and friends he's ever had the privilege to play with. Charles, always being the consummate non bragging type, had this to say: "I’m certainly not the best pianist/keyboardist in the world, but like Doc MOJO, I am unique and have my own style." So come on out and see what this cat has to add to the band, and you'll see just what the meaning of "Getting Your MOJO On" is all about.
