Another great show at the Island! Many thanks to Tracy, DJ Ski, all the ladies behind the bar and of course, all the great fans that always give us a warm welcome and join us for music and fun.
Special thanks also to Jeff Rivera, the son of our bass man, Gerry Rivera. Jeff came along to help the old men haul equipment and hang out to enjoy the show. Little did he know, he'd have the opportunity to join the show for the last set when drummer Tommy succumbed to illness that had plagued him all evening. After hanging in like a champ and a real pro while playing flawlessly as though nothing was wrong, Tommy asked Jeff if he'd like to "drive the Lexus" (Tommy's massive drum set). Jeff jumped at the chance and we all got to see that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Jeff stepped in and played like a real pro, having never rehearsed with us, just as his father did back when he first joined the band. It's obvious that natural musical talent runs in the family. Many thanks Jeff for all your hard work, as well as for lending a helping hand with your musical skills.
